Jane Shaw is a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist practising in Fonthill Bishop, near Salisbury in south Wiltshire. Craniosacral therapy, whose roots are in Osteopathy, is a gentle but profound and powerful hands-on therapy which assists the body’s natural capacity for self repair. It has been developed from discoveries about the body’s subtle physiology which show that our cells express rhythmic movement fundamental to life. It supports the body’s natural tendency to find health and optimum balance by relieving the body of its tensions and restrictions, whether physical or emotional.

As a holistic therapy, Craniosacral Therapy may help people in almost any condition by raising their vitality and enabling their own self-healing process to be utilised. When the body has had to cope with shock, long term stress or illness the neutral state that promotes healing can become compromised. Working with the craniosacral rhythms in the body, tension patterns are resolved and balance is restored allowing self-healing to occur.
